High Pressure, High-Risk Counseling for Pediatric and Obstetric Healthcare Professionals
CounselSim creates realistic scenarios for counseling patients and families facing pregnancies complicated by serious maternal and/or fetal disease, life-threatening neonatal disease, and end-of-life issues.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* Review strategies for discussing difficult information with the patient and/or family under time constraint.
* Describe verbal and nonverbal cues from the patient and/or family that help guide the level and amount of information that can be discussed.
* Discuss what follow up needs to occur after a difficult patient conversation including collaboration with other disciplines and documentation.
FEES
$715 per person

Tuition may be paid by credit card or check payable to Stanford University and is due upon confirmation of registration.

CANCELLATION
A written notice of cancellation must be received 60 days prior to start of this program. A $75 administrative fee will be assessed at this time.
30-59 days: 50% of paid registration is refundable.
30 days or less: Non-refundable.
Stanford University School of Medicine reserves the right to cancel this program; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded.
