Research Protocol Services

With years of experience in simulation-based research, CAPE's faculty is pleased to offer consulting services to guide the development and execution of research protocols that utilize simulation to answer clinically relevant questions.

CAPE Investigators

CAPE is the research home to faculty, fellows and other trainees, nurses and visiting scholars whose investigations using simulation have produced more than 50 manuscripts and chapters, 100 abstract presentations and over 200 formal presentations to local, regional, national and international audiences.

Medical Device Services

In light of significant regulatory requirements associated with operating in the real clinical environment, CAPE offers services to the medical device community that facilitate human factors and usability testing of devices with simulated patients and highly realistic environments.

Awards, Presentations & Publications

CAPE's Director, Lou Halamek, M.D., and Henry Lee, M.D., were recently awarded a four-year grant of $4 million from the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality to optimize the safety of mothers and neonates in a mixed learning laboratory.  CAPE will serve as the primary research site.
